Important things you need to know

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) lets you make calls over your broadband connection at a much lower cost than a traditional PSTN telephone line.
Yes, in most cases we can bring your existing telephone number over to VoIP using a process called LNP (Local Number Portability). For more information on this please contact our sales team on 1300 234 273.
Yes, you can dial 000 in case of emergency.
However, you cannot make 000 emergency calls if there is no power for the VoIP adaptor, router and DSL modem or if you are unable to access your broadband internet connection. Fibre2air recommends you keep either a landline or a mobile telephone service available for 000 emergency calls.
You can use any broadband service provider that provides DSL, cable or wireless broadband. Please note the quality of the voice connection will be subject to the quality of the broadband connection. Some providers are better than others. Also, please be aware wireless broadband service quality may vary with local weather conditions and as a result the voice quality may vary from time to time.
Yes, there is no limit to how many phone lines you can have.
However, the more phone lines you have, the faster your internet service needs to be. Please note other internet applications (e.g. downloading, FTP, e-mail) also consume bandwidth if they are using the same internet connection..

Yes, you will need to provide the correct porting details required by Fibre2air. Please contact our sales team on 1300 234 273 for more information on these charges.

VoIP numbers are attached to geographical zones, so unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to keep the same VoIP number if you move house.

It takes just 6-10 business days for eligible numbers.
Yes, you will receive an email confirmation once your number has been successfully moved to fibre2air.
You can cancel the Number Porting by calling our Team on 1300 234 273:
  • If you withdraw your porting request up to 24 hours before the port is scheduled to occur (called the 'cutover date'). You will be charged a $30 cancellation fee.
  • If you withdraw your porting request after the cutover date, you will incur a $200 reversal fee.
Simply dial 121 from your fibre2air service and follow the prompts to listen to your voicemail message.
If the provider you are switching to offers the number porting service, you will be able to move your number from fibre2air to the new provider.
